What's to come in 2023

There will be a shift happening on the website/ blog come 2023. In 2022 I was the recipient of a couple small artist grants for a new body of fiber art that I’ve been working on for a little while. Between paying bills, family, markets, etc. it’s been very difficult to focus on art creation. Since there are requirements that need to be fulfilled, and because I’d like to continue to get paid to make the art I want to make, I’m going to go on a an entreprenuerial hiatus. I have two events coming up, BOB Fest and Made in Tucson.

Starting next week I’ll be taking an indefinite hiatus from the business side of things. This way I can focus on the projects for my grants, and continue to find opportunities to continue to fund my work. I will begin blogging about the updates so that folks can see what’s happening. I’ll still be gardening and doing the farmers’ market, but other events may be unlikely. However, should I find time to create for events, it’ll be much more specific pieces, mostly naturally dyed and eco printed things, using plants I’ve grown, and/ or handmade one of a kind wearables.

I’m super excited about the future and can’t wait to share updates. Focusing on my art full time has always been the dream. Great things are in store!
