Standard birth support plan includes three prenatal visits lasting from sixty to ninety minutes, continuous birth support from active labor up until three hours postpartum, and two postpartum visits. Prenatal and postpartum visits includes, but is not limited to: pregnancy and labor education, creation of birth and postpartum plans, nutrition support, preparation for delivery, creating a plan in case of/ for cesarean (this is for any pregnant parent, planning in case of unexpected emergencies, planning for high risk, planning for elective cesarean, so that everyone is on board with the care that is expected by the pregnant parent during and after delivery), lactaction support for those that need it, belly binding for those who’d like. Support at prenatal appointments is $35 an hour.
Virtual support excludes any physical visits and no physical support during delivery, but the educational support, etc. remains the same.

The standard postpartum support plan includes 40 days of postpartum support (approximately 15 hours a week). Postpartum visits include weekly checkins about effectiveness of postpartum plan, nutrition support, lactation support, light child care (to allow for showers and/ or naps), light house keeping, desired welcoming ceremony for new babies, self care and emotional support for birth parents and partners, belly binding for those that’d like, and care for incision site and body after 4 months for optimum healing, as well as support plan for those healing for cesarean.
Virtual support excludes physical visits, housekeeping, and childcare, but still includes meals, etc. Materials for any services (food, welcoming, etc) will be delivered following social distancing protocols.

Family planning is support for those looking into all of their options, and want to create the best plan for their situation. This offering includes discussing options in a judgment free zone, so that individuals and families can make informed decisions. Support may include: information of options, information about where to received desired services, rides to and from appointments, nutrition support, support for the body after loss of pregnancy, etc.

Support for families while their new babies are experiencing an extended NICU stay (2 weeks or more). We’ll develop a plan with support for birth parent, partner, and any additonal children, resources for expected disabilities, emotional support to express grief of delivering a baby, but not immediately bringing them home, processing the experience of surgical delivery if needed, etc.

This is a space free of judgment to express the entire range of emotions that accompany grief, keepsake making support (photos, hand/ foot prints, etc.), transition ceremonies (washing of body, saving of hair, wrapping in cloth, etc. ), support in final resting place preparations (funeral, cremation, etc), nutrition support, caring for the body postpartum, weening lactation (if already begun), belly binding, etc.

Placenta dehydration (only)

This is the process of steaming and then drying the placenta, and turning it into edible capsules and tincture. For some this process has proven beneficial in aiding a smoother transition from pregnancy to postpartum allowing the hormones to gently ease into a healthy state. Tincturing allows for a postpartum parent to enjoy the benefits of placenta consumption for an extended period of time. The process involves extracting the benefits of the placenta in alcohol for several weeks. The purpose of tincturing is 1) the alcohol allows the medicine to go directly to the blood quickly and 2) the alcohol preserves the placenta medicine indefinitely, allowing for the benefits to used for years. These processes can be done with or without herbs. All encapsulations are done with vegan capsules.
Dehydration services are for those that want to bring their placenta home, but would rather not worry about how to care for the organ. This is a great option for those that would like to bury it, but maybe don’t have space, or aren’t sure when they’ll have the time to get to it.
Also available: Cord keepsakes ($25) and Placenta prints ($25)- If you ONLY want keepsakes or prints there is a $150 placenta handling fee. The placenta is a human organ, and will require specific care and disposal, even if you don’t want to ingest or save it.
